The caves and cliffs at Plouézec
With the Bréhec water sports centre, we’re exploring the caves and cliffs at Plouézec. Philippe runs through the safety regulations, points out the route to follow, and explains how to handle the paddle. Once the route has been defined according to the tides, we’re off to see the highest cliffs in Brittany, rising to 104 metres above sea level. At Bréhec, we venture to the edge of the Goëlo cliffs and enjoy a fabulous view of the gorgeous surroundings before heading back to land on the magnificent wide beach for a well-earned rest.
Flora, fauna and heritage around Loguivy-de-la-mer
There’s an opportunity for a different sort of experience with the Loguivy-de-la-mer water sports centre. We climb on our boards and follow the coastline with its dazzling colours. In the distance, we can glimpse the Bréhat archipelago and we paddle peacefully in the Trieux estuary. In these unique surroundings, from Roc’h Hir beach we take to the open sea, to discover the fauna, flora and heritage of the coast. From the sea, we can see hikers making their way along the GR®34 coastal path and imagine the fabulous view they must have from the Roche aux Oiseaux. Watching a lovely sunset from the top of this rock cluster is a tempting thought, or, for a gourmet experience, from a restaurant terrace in the port of Loguivy-de-la-mer, where a delicious crêpe will revive us after our adventure on the water.
As well as the physical experience and the sheer pleasure of being in the sea, a paddle-board adventure in the Bay of Paimpol is also a feast for the eyes and the senses.
