The cliffs at Plouézec are among the highest in Brittany
They can be explored in stages on foot, by bike or by car.
Your itinerary from Paimpol to the small port of Bréhec.
Take the time to admire the 13th-century Beauport Abbey nestling in the shoreline in the heart of the bay of Paimpol. Between the Pointe de Kérarzic and the Pointe de Guilben, the Abbey grounds extend over 120 hectares of salt-meadows, reed beds, marshes and lagoons, all protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral Coastal Protection Agency.
You can begin your journey at the Moulin de Craca windmill, built in 1844 and renovated by the Friends of le Moulin de Craca, an association created in 1998. From June to September the association offers guided tours of the windmill and grinding demonstrations.
Continue along the GR®34, taking in the oyster beds at Port Lazo and not forgetting to stop off and visit the artist Kito’s sculpture park ‘Sculptures en Liberté’, just before the magnificent panorama of the Pointe de Bilfot where you can enjoy views over the Bay of Paimpol.
The cliff pathway will lead you around headlands with beautiful views, past little shingle beaches, to the pretty beach at Bréhec where you can go for a swim, have a bite to eat or try your hand at kayaking or paddleboarding at the Centre Nautique de Bréhec water sports centre.
