The Tour de Manche
Paimpol is one of the highlights of the Tour de Manche cross-Channel cycle itinerary, a 1200-km route along minor roads and green lanes linking Brittany, Normandy and the South-West of England. The signposted trail offers a safe and comfortable way to experience unique coastal and rural landscapes on both sides of the Channel.
This stage is very scenic, travelling along the cliff route overlooking the cove of Bréhec and offering uninterrupted sea views. There’s time to enjoy the magnificent Beauport Abbey before arriving in Paimpol, with its historic shipowners’ houses and charming narrow streets. The route is relatively flat, suitable for intermediate-level cyclists.
Circular rides around Paimpol
A range of numbered and signposted cycle routes from 8 to 19 km which can be enjoyed by the whole family. These routes, which are on secondary roads, take you to prestigious sites such as Beauport Abbey, Lanleff Temple, the Château de Boisgelin. Equally fascinating are the chapels, lavoir washhouses and calvaries which form part of our local heritage.
Please make sure to follow the highway code on shared roads. Nature lovers needn’t feel left out - they can enjoy fabulous views around Minard or go for a ride in the woods at Penhoat.
